A letter from Raul Hernandez in the Dominican Republic on the WTO protests in 1999.
Hi. I live in the Dominican Republic, a poor country in the Caribbean who has been invaded twice in this century by american marines. We have been exploited in every possible way by international capital. What you and your fellow protesters have done is of inmense value for our fight for independence, freedom and a better future. This is a great victory and the people who were there, facing the repressive forces of the system deserve the greatest credit for it! Thanks!
